Now I am really getting serious about moving my journal to livejournal.... the site seems to have more options and features than blogger... I wish I could put that on there... Hmmmm

Today is the audition and so I'm going to practice.

OK. I have really been slacking the last few days I think....... Or maybe it was just Monday. But still I feel lagging for some reason.... I don't know why. I'm doing all (well, most ;)) of my homework, I'm not at the computer all of the time (Garrett says I am, but I do my homework while he's gone), and other stuff.

I have this audition for the Alan Held masterclass tomorrow. I hope I can do it well. I practiced earilier and I sounded good from what I heard. I had a breakthrough lesson last night that really helped and I feel that I can be one of the 6 they pick to be one, or at least an alternate. There are 23 of us auditioning, and only 8 (counting hte 2 alternates) spots. So 1 out of 3 people trying out gets to be chosen. So yeah.

OK I was going to say NOOOOO NOT THE STUPID ERROR 503 AGAIN! But then I went to the page and the latest entry loaded so I'm ok.

Unfortunately, this one isn't editing.......
Last night was fun. OK. I went out on a limb and went with Bobby to Champaign with this club. Becky went too. We were meeting about 5 others there too. OK. Bobby's friend from Decatur Park Singers entered this drag queen music pagent, and we went to cheer him on. The club was a gay bar but straight people go there too. It was kind of weird at first but then it was a lot of fun. And Bobby's friend won Miss Teen Champaign but he should have won Miss Teen Illinois because the evening gown competition was stolen from him seriously. But then after the show we went outside and there was like 3 inches of snow on the ground! We didn't get home until almost 3AM. I skipped my history class again (3rd Monday in a row but it's not like we learn anything in that class, he just goes off subject after the first 10 minutes to some subject impacting the world today like the impending war or abortion). I also skipped counterpoint, but that was mainly because I didn't finish my assignment. So yeah. It was fun.

This morning I bagged grocieries at Cub Foods with IV. This Cub is much nicer than the Cub in Green Bay, but it was set up the same way, so even though I haven't been to the Cub food in Green Bay in like forever, I felt like I was back in Green Bay for a split second (when I was going down the aisles)... Kind of weird but you know.

dangdangdangdangdangdangdangdangdangdangdangdangdangdangdangdangdangdang. I tried to donate blood earlier, and I STILL CAN'T GIVE IT UNTIL MARCH 17th. GRRR!!!!!!!! Stupid rules. I DO NOT HAVE MALARIA. IF I DID, I WOULD HAVE BEEN SICK. WHY MUST I WAIT A YEAR TO DONATE BLOOD AFTER GOING TO MEXICO?????? It's stupid!
I officially have two more things that annoy me:

1. The stupid goldfish jingle that probably took 28 seconds to write, and they couldn't sing it, and they play it ALL THE TIME, switching a few words. It's not even creative. It's like

"New goldfish is in colors
It still is made with real cheese
Now ever wonder why they chose this jingle that really sucks.
I've never tried them myself
They probably are gross.
The snack that smiles back goldfish."

2. The Chef Boyardee commercial jingle is almost if not more annoying than the goldfish commercial. Made preseumably by kids. It must be because the voices are SO ANNOYING!!!!! And that "oh boy oh boy oh boy" is just horrible. It sounds like Goofy on crack. And they are advertising this gross pizza ravioli in a can. I have never had a good pasta in a can, mostly because the pasta is always mushy and the sauce is just disgusting.

"New Chef BoyAARDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
(oh boy oh boy oh boy)
New pizza raviOLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
(oh boy oh boy oh boy)
lalalalalalala la la al al alalal ala la LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
(cringe)
CHEF BOYARDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
(oh boy oh boy oh boy)

OK now that I think about it the Chef Boyardee one is worst.

I'm seriously considering moving my journal over to livejournal, because I like the current mood and current music feature. It's also a lot more popular than blogger, because I see almost all my friends have a journal on livejournal. But who knows? Livejournal is so busy it may be down sometimes. But I don't care. It's not important.

I just got back from an observation at Stephen Decatur Middle School. Hoo boy. Jake, Brianne, and I went to observe a math class, and this girl went to sharpen her pencil, and a boy laughed at her, and she said quietly enough so that the teacher wouldn't hear "Fuck you, bitch!" and flipped him off. Wow.

My theory about it being impossible to have a blizzard or a snow storm in decatur has been officially annulled. While this isn't the worst snow storm I have ever seen (That being in 2nd grade when snow was up to my waist; at least 2 ft. of snow), this is up there. Yesterday, we got about 2 inches of rain. In the morning it was freezing rain, and then it was just rain. We got a couple of inches of rain. As night came, it froze, and continuted to rain. It thundered a few times around 2 am (I think). Which is weird because it was about 33 degrees out. This morning, I found it sleeting or something, and there wasn't any snow on the ground, maybe a dusting. It was sleeting. And it was icy. AND WINDY. Now it is snowing, at least 2 or 3 inches have fallen so far (I don't know how much, some areas look like almost none has fallen but that's because it is so windy it is blowing everywhere.). And we are supposed to be getting more. WOW. And to top that off, I had a vocal jazz festival today! THANK GOD I live on campus (which is where I hope to live next year), and didn't have to drive anywhere because I don't want to be caught in the middle of this. Right now, winds are blowing around 15-25 mph, up to 30 or 40 mph at times. that is windy and COLD. Yuck. I'm so glad I have nothing to go to for the rest of the night; I can get some stuff done here!

OK it has been a few days. Saw STOMP last night. Oh my God. It was so awesome. I was doing stomp for a long time after the show was over. It was so sweet. Took two tests..... Ok next subject. Um... there is this phenomonon where the wind creates snowball like things that is really rare... it is like a snow ring; they are here and there around campus and it is pretty cool. So I don't know what else. I'm going to be busy.

I had to take this quiz.

Which Homestar Runner character are you?

this quiz was made by jurjyfrort

Well, I got back from IMEA last night. What an exhausting but fun weekend. OK here is what happened.

Thursday.
We drove to Peoria to stay at the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino. Kids, if you are under 21, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO THERE EXCEPT GAMBLE AND IF YOU CAN'T DO THAT, YOU ARE SCREWED FOR LEISURELY ACTIVITIES. OK so anyway, after we went to a concert that was OK (the high school's director picks music that is too hard for them!) And then we went to the exhibition hall and I swear that Jake, Cory, and I got all of the Eric Whitacre music within the first 10 minutes. After the exhibition we were deciding on where to go for dinner, and most of the guys and Cory decided to go to Hooters. So I am no longer a Hooter's virgin. But they all wanted to say it was my birthday so I could stand up on the table with 2 hot chicks. I didn't want to do it because I didn't want to be embarrassed and also it wasn't my birthday. If it really was my birthday that would be one thing. And then after that we went back to the hotel. OK. Now Brian, who's a freshman, said he wasn't feeling well. He actually wasn't; I think he's a hypochondriac. But anyway, being a nice guy, I sleep on the floor. He gives me a pillow and that's it. So me and Jake go down and we watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding. When we get back, Brian is sleeping on top of the covers diagonally. So I can't get a blanket. I DO NOT GET A BLANKET TO SLEEP IN. I was freezing. I was up until 4:30 trying to get to bed. Horrible horrible horriblie. Oh well. I had to get up about 6:45. So begins Friday.

Friday.
OK I got up and got dressed and stuff, and we went to the Civic Center to be there at 8. Me, Tim, Breanne, and Matt all went to watch Andre Thomas's rehearsal, but theirs didnt' start until 9 and the all state rehearsal started at 8:30 so we watched that. Then I went to another clinic, then I went to a reading session. Then I went to the Millikin booth for an hour. Then me and Christy went to go to a concert at 2 and meet people there, but they were leaving when we got there, saying the concert was so long and they were starvign so we went to Hoops and ate. That was EXCELLENT food. Then there were more seminars. Then after dinner we went to the jazz concert!!! And that was awesome. The Jazz Combo was the best. They had an electric violinist!!!! Vocal jazz was good, but the soloists weren't all that great. Some were really good, others weren't, so that kind of surprised me. Then after that we went back to the hotel.

Saturday.
After getting a much better nights sleep, we left at 7 so we could get breakfast before going to the civic center. I went to Kirby Shaw's clinic, that was good. Then I went to a seminar where I thougth there would be some free music, and there wasn't. It was a college choir and it wasn't all that great. Then I went to a meeting that I had to go to. It was really good. Then we went to Hoops again. It was me, Rachel, Jake, Chad, and Eric. What was funny is that we were all pretty much Republicans. And down the street on the corner there were anti-war protesters. So Eric and Chad went out to find a box where they could write "Bomb Saddam" on. They did then they stood on the other corner and yelled it. Jake fimed it. Then a few of them came over and asked if they were doing it as a joke, or if they would like an intellegent political conversation. And they are like "OH YEAH, we want an intellegent political conversation!" And they talked for like a half hour. After we got done eating we went back to the center. We missed the all-state concert so we played uno until we could go in. Bobby met up with us. So we all played. Then we went in. The concerts were good. Then Bobby invited me to his house for dinner, and so we went to his house to celebrate his birthday. We had a lot of fun. We played a game and had cake and watched a movie and played some video games. And then we went back to Millikin.

So overall a fun but exhausting weekend.
